At only 7 years old, A Cappella West has achieved what many choruses strive for decades to manage – we won Gold at the national convention in Hobart in May 2015! Not only that, but with a score of 626. A score above 600 (out of 800) is a milestone achievement, and is recognised by the international organisation by the awarding of Master Director status on the chorus directors.
So the big news is, this means we will represent Australia at the SAI World Championships in Las Vegas in October 2016! We appreciate all the support we get from our families and friends, and hope you will help us in our fundraising journey to get to the world stage.
Congratulations Hi-Jinx on their 4th consecutive national win! With another record breaking score, that will also be heading to Vegas, but in 2015 instead – wishing them all the very best!
The chorus was also very proud of Eureka quartet who, in their first contest, managed to nab the Bronze! Congratulations!
